UNIVERSITY CORE (55 HOURS)
University Core - English (12 hours)
University Core - History (6 hours)
University Core - Bible (6 hours)
University Core - Social Sciences (6 hours)
Choose two courses representing two different subject areas. University Core - Science (7 hours)
Seven hours of science hours are required, including one 4-hour lab course. Students are encouraged to choose one of the course combinations: University Core - Fine Arts (3 hours)
University Core for BA and English Majors - Modern Languages (6-12 hours)
Twelve hours are usually required. Students must complete the intermediate or sophomore-level courses in their chosen language. Students with one high school unit may enter course 102 of the same language and thereby waive 3 hours of this requirement; those with two high school units may enter course 201, waiving 6 hours.
University Core - Physical Education (3 hours)
Three hours are required. Recommended courses are listed below: University Core - Chapel
Students at Mississippi College are required to complete chapel requirements based on the student classification at the time of enrollment as detailed below:

Students not seeking secondary education licensure must choose a minor or a second major and are encouraged to consider one in a related field. Students seeking secondary education licensure should follow the appropriate status sheet (available from the Department of Education). GENERAL ELECTIVES
Sufficient elective hours must be taken to meet the minimum hour requirement for graduation in this program. Electives should be chosen in consultation with advisor. |
