COU 6889 - Introduction to Christian Theology for Counseling

Credits, 3 sem. hrs.
An introduction to Christian theology that exposes students to the basic Christian doctrines of revelation, God, humanity, sin, person and work of Christ, Holy Spirit, salvation, church, and last things.  The course is an introduction to Christian theology.  The purpose of the course is to acquaint students with the basic tenets of Christian doctrine.  Christian theology has many implications for personal living, ministering, and addressing contemporary issues. Using the Bible as a foundation, relevant historical developments are considered in the understanding of each doctrine. This course will also equip students with foundational beliefs that can be appropriated in the Christian counseling setting.
