EDU 6532 - Resource Dimension of Leadership

Credits, 5 sem. hrs.
This dimension introduces students to the elements and concepts of administering fiscal, physical and human resources, as well as providing opportunities to apply them in a practical way. The course is designed to provide those who aspire to be educational leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to best manage resources of a school in ways that contribute to instructional effectiveness and efficiency and comply with all local, state and federal mandates and state and regional accreditation standards. Candidates will develop an understanding of how to use human, fiscal, and technological resources to efficiently manage school operations and analyze a school's budget and financial status while managing school resources to maximize teaching and learning. Candidates will also learn to use technology as a tool for managing school operational systems.
