NUR 436 - Community and Population Health

Prerequisite(s): Prerequisite(s): Completion of all Semester 3 courses:

NUR 406 , NUR 484 , NUR 404 , NUR 407 , NUR 428  
Community Health Nursing focuses in the synthesis of concepts, processes and skills necessary to promote health and prevent illness in population groups.  Emphasis will be placed on managing care for the community as a client/patient rather than on individual health care.  The three levels of prevention used in strategic planning for community health will be emphasized. (3 hours theory, 2 hours clinical)
