EDU 6534 - Political Dimension of LeadershipCredits, 1-4 sem. hrs., variable (max. 4)
This dimension prepares the prospective transformational school leader to identify community opinion leaders within the school district and in the community and assist them in articulating the district’s and school’s vision, mission, and priorities to the community and the media. An emphasis is placed on the importance of effective communication with various cultural, ethnic, racial, and special interest groups in the community to build support for the school’s program. Problem-Based Learning and internship activities are integral aspects of the curriculum.
