COU 6504 - Research-Methods and ProceduresCredits, 3 sem. hrs. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Master's Program in the specialty area of Clinical Mental Health, Marriage and Family Therapy, or School Counseling or permission of the instructor. A survey of basic research methodologies in the social and behavioral sciences with emphasis on critical reading of published research. Students conduct a meta-analysis of research literature or develop a research proposal. In order to register for COU 6999 Graduate Comprehensive Examination and take the CPCE, which is required for graduation, this course must be successfully completed with a grade of “B” or better.
